- Why does my stainless steal Cartier watch turn my wrist black after i was my hands?
I have a 100% authentic Cartier stainless steal watch that leaves black marks on my wrist when it gets wet. Why is this?
A 100% Cartier - or 100% stainless steel? The back MAY be of a different alloy - probably nickle or silver - and your body is creating an electrolytic reaction. PURPOSELY get your watch wet and let it sit on your wrist until the area is dry, then look at the black patch - is it in a perfect circle of the back? Is it a VERY thin ring AROUND the back (it may be from a nickle seal used inside the backing). Is it a thicker ring around the outside (it may from the outer casing itself). Personally, I think you have a counterfeit watch. Cartier makes some good watches and they use VERY high quality stuff - and they would use NOTHING but stainless in the outer casing if it were really a Cartier. Did you (or whomever got it for you) get a REALLY good deal on it? Yuppers - it's a fake. If not, you just got screwed.

A hi, i suggest u 2 visit the official site of cartier, and find Contact Us page, email them. They will definately give u better answer, relative to indian region. just visited it and amazed to see that their is not a single customer service centre in India, but they hv many retailers in India where u buy them. HORRIBLE!!!. U hv 2 enquire in one of these centres also, probably they sort out your prob.. i hope so. bye...
