Why are females attracted to gay men?

I know a lot of gay guys(I will admit though I am metrosexual...I love fashion, shopping, wanted to be a fashion designer too but no I'm not gay) and it seems like females always tell me, "Oh he's fine" and they seem to be the gay guys.

Is it because females know the gay men aren't interested in them and won't hit on them? Or because they share common interests? What makes gay men so "hot".

Is it because they have good fashion sense and nice hair? Unlike the bums who drink beer and watch football yelling at the TV screen.

I was watching this performance by Adam Lambert when he was on A.I, and he did this thing when he was singing where he kinda brushed his hand against his body lifting up his shirt, I'm like this guy is gay. Then this girl comments that Adam looks hot when he brushes his hand on his body.. What??? If I walk around with a limp wrist will I get more females?

The beginning of the story I'm writing. Would you read it?

Leaves of orange, red, brown, and yellow fell from the high treetops, crisp air came swirling around each corner, boys in polos and khakis tossed Frisbees to each other in the park, while girls in wool skirts and cashmere sweaters sat on wooden benches and giggled as they watched them. It was fall in the upper class side of New York City.
On the upper class side of New York was the preppiest school around, Vanderbilt Academy. Only the wealthiest students attended there. The tuition rate was high though the drama rate was even higher.
“He is deffinetly better dressed than him.” Argued Lauren. “No way! Solid polos are more professional as opposed to striped ones!” Sophia defended. Reagan, Logan, Emily, and Bailey whisper giggled at their two friends. “I don’t care which one is better dressed, I already have an amazing buh-oy-fuh-riend.” Logan boasted about Alex again. The rest of the girls sighed. “Its going to be our five month on Friday!” Logan flipped her wavy light brown hair. “Five months? Please! You guys broke up two weeks ago and you just got back together last Saturday!” Reagan said, the crisp wind stinging her pale freckled cheeks making them red. “We don’t count the break ups!” Logan said. “What is this, the fifth time you’ve gone out?” Sophia questioned as the long brown loose curls in her hair blew in the wind. “NO! It’s only the third time.” Logan said as if it was no big deal. The rest of the girls laughed.
Logan Montage and Alex Marriot had been on-again, off-again since the 8th grade. They were together towards the end of the 8th grade, around the beginning of May, and broke up in early June. They had decided to get back together again in the beginning of High school, they lasted about two months and then Alex said he “needed time to think”. They hadn’t talked or even looked at each other that whole year. Then one summer night in late July at one of Alex’s parties they decided to get back together once again. And they’ve been together ever since. It was September now, almost five months, not counting the break ups, as Logan said.
Logan, Sophia, Reagan, Bailey, Lauren, and Emily walked down the streets of Upper New York. The heels of their designer shoes make clicking noises as they touched the concrete streets. Designer shopping bags filled to the top hung from their wrists as they strutted their way up to Burberry, Reagan’s pick. But just before crossing the street to enter the store, right in front of the Burberry entrance, they spotted Logan’s boyfriend, Alex, but Alex wasn’t alone. And no, he wasn’t with friends. “OhMiJeez he’s making out with…” Sophia whispered to Reagan but was cut off with “SHUT UP! We can’t let Logan see!!!” Reagan frantically said, all of the girls noticed Alex making out, tongue to tongue with one of the sluttiest girls in all of upper NY. “What are we gonna do!?” Bailey whisper yelled “Distract Logan!! If we go in the main entrance of Burberry she’ll see him!” Lauren wailed. “Shhh not too loud!” Emily reprimanded Lauren. “I’ve got a plan!” Sophia smiled as they crossed the street. “Hey guys! I really don’t feel like going to Burberry right now, let’s go to Gucci!” Sophia said pulled Logan’s arm in the opposite direction. “But we were just there!” Logan said turning around facing the Burberry entrance. Too late, she had seen Alex and Becca Anderson (though she was often referred to as “the slut”, that nickname was courtesy of the girls.) The girls exchanged worried looks. “What!?” Logan’s eyes filled with tears. “Is this why you guys didn’t wanna come here? Did you know about it?” Logan played with a button on her Coach coat. “We didn’t want you to get hurt.” Sophie looked down at her Gucci Boots. “Lemme go over there and give him a piece of my mind!” Reagan angrily yelled as she tried to run, but she was just kicking air because Bailey and Emily held her back. “No! I will.” Logan marched over to Alex.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing!?” Logan pushed Becca out of the way and looked Alex straight in the eye. “Logan! Babe, I’m sorry. It’s not what you think.” Alex said grabbing Logan by the hands. “Let go of me!” Logan pushed him away she didn’t want his cheating hands all over her. “But its not what you think!” He said again. “Oh! Well you wanna know what I think!? I think, its over!” Logan pushed Alex with a force and stomped away. “Come on girls! Let’s go and leave cheating man-whores with the whores they’re supposed to be with!” The girls clicked their high-heeled shoes as they ran angrily through the streets. “I NEVER WANNA SEE YOU IN MY LIFE AGAIN ALEX MARRIOT! NEVER!” Logan yelled to Alex.

WristWatchDesigns.com Answers:

Donna,

I'm afraid you're setting the bid price too high.

People come to eBay with credit card in hand ready to buy, but they are always looking for a deal. It's the only place I know of online where people are visiting the site because they want to buy something.

What you want to do is "Force" the buyer whose looking at your auction to say, " I can't pass this deal up". Once they've made a bid, they're committed and now it's a game they want to win vs the other buyers who may want the same thing.

I've learned that the people who are "viewing" the auctions ARE interested, but they are waiting to see who will bid and how much. It's all a psychological game and you have to play it.

So start your purses at a price like $9.99 and see what happens. I almost guarantee you'll start to see bids. Be careful though because you don't want to just give them away. If the bid price hasn't reached what you are looking to part with your purses at, then make sure you end the auction 13 hours before your auction is slated to end. EBay allows you to end auctions and cancel all bids on an auction, but you must do it with 12 hours or more time left on the auction.

Also you've gotta make sure you include lots of great clear pictures of the purses and not stock pictures. People like to know they are bidding on items that are in the sellers possession. I always include at least six pictures of any item I sell on eBay.

Hope this helped!

Is Michael Kors less of a designer after Project Runway?

I recently went to a Macy's that was changing their sunglass department over to Sunglass Hut. I had purchased one of the last few MK sunglasses. I don't really watch Project Runway, but I know he has been on it before. When I made the purchase, the salesman commented that they would only be carrying Prada, Gucci, etc. for Sunglass Hut, and no longer "fashion designers." The way that he said it sounded like he thought MK was somehow "less than." I am not paying $300 for sunglasses - that is not me at all. As it was, I spent almost $100 on the MK glasses. I have loved his designs for so long. What do you think about this? Is he "less than"?

WristWatchDesigns.com Answers:

No, he isn't. However, European designers don't consider themselves on the same level of talent and fashion taste as American, they're way too high up there...if you put Michael Kors and Karl Lagerfeld in the same sentence when speaking to designers/fashionistas in Europe, they'd just laugh at you.
I also love Kors' designs.

WristWatchDesigns.com Answers:

In the good old days of Chicago, Maxwell Street Market was the place to find cheap merchandise, but since the University of Chicago acquired much of this area, Maxwell Street is not a very good place to look. My suggestion, if you're brave, is to head to the south-side communities and the replicas will find you. Union Ave near the Dan Ryan and Jim's Original Hot Dog Stand is a "safe" bet, if you go during the day. But there wont be a store, look for a shopping cart full of DVDs or a man with a trechcoat flashing his lapel. Otherwise, try EBAY.

Currently im not in college or employment so my usual daily routine will be eat breakfast, watch judge judy, snack, watch jeremy kyle, go to sleep, wake up then i eat lunch then its a snack then watch more Judge judy then watch the replay of jeremy kyle on itv2. then go on my computer for a few hours, i text on blackberry throughout the day and the eat dinner and after dinner more snacks. lastly i finish of my day by watching many episodes of jersey shore. that is my normal day i don't even go to my local shops, i only really go outside every other day or every 3days. i have no social life and i feel that its all because of my weight. in a way i might be lazy because when ever i start to exercise i can loose a stone to 2stones in a week. i was employed a few weeks ago as a door to door sales man. and for the 2weeks i was working their i lost nearly 2stone and started to get my abs back just because of all the walking. i would have stayed in that job but it was all commission based pay, and in the end i was putting out more money on travel than i got paid in 2 weeks. for anyone who wants to know i only made £20 in 2 weeks, i guess im not much of a sales man lol. i don't have a girlfriend never have and 3months ago lost my virginity to a prostitute, and all of these things are putting me down i feel worthless. has anyone got any ideas for me to loose about 2-3stones and keep it off. and any help on how to get a girlfriend or speak to girls. im 18 and want a girlfriend as soon as possible, that's why i spend money on escorts. i am 6ft and 14stone my b.m.i is high. i want to loose about 3stone and keep it of help?

Losing weight can be tough but with a bit of will power you can keep the pounds off you should be regularly exercising 3 times a week for an hour or 30 Min's 5 x a week, minimise the amount of fat intake you eat on a daily basis and drink plenty of water, this should keep you fuller for longer, eat plenty of fruit, veg, pasta and dairy products. Cut out the snacks you eat between meals and keep a diary of your calorie intake. Make sure you dont smoke and make sure you exercise.
Its all about getting the balance right. Good luck and i hope you find someone soon.

Why am I having a delayed reaction to a suicide?

A decade ago, my ex killed himself in his family home. At the time of his death we were not a couple, but still good friends. A few months prior to his suicide, he came to see me and asked if we could get back together. I do not believe my answer had much to do with his killing himself. I told him I was happily in a relationship (which I was) and he said my happiness was all that mattered. A few days before he hung himself he came to see me. This wasn't unusual because he often just showed up out of the blue! I spent about 15 min talking to him and he asked me to go with him to lunch. I declined as it was late in the day. He told me he was basically getting his life together and looking for his son. He hugged me and told me he loved me. Something he hadn't said in years. Looking back, I wonder if he was sort of saying goodbye. I wish I had taken the time to go with him and perhaps I would have noticed something was wrong. I honestly didn't see it. I did love him very much, but I had moved on and he was also an alcoholic. I figured it was the alcohol talking and he didn't really mean what he was saying. After his death, I attended the service and was kind of emotionless. No viewing of the body was available, which is understandable under the circumstances. His ashes were scattered pretty far away. I guess I didn't believe it was real. Was afraid to look at it. Last week I went to see his Father in the house. I had seen the house was up for sale and felt I needed to let him know I had not forgotten his son.. At the time of his passing I had planted a rose bush in his memory. I watched this elderly man wipe his tears away and tell me about the days events leading up to the suicide. He said, "I don't know why he would go and do a thing like that." He told me that his sons relationship with his Mom was strained and that he had told him he needed to look for another place to stay. Five hrs later, he was hanging in the garage. Bottles were found and no note left. I guess I am wishing I could understand this or have done something to alter the outcome. I miss him and feel cheated out of his friendship and possibly a reconciliation. How do I start to heal after all these years and forgive myself for having missed the signs.? I wish I had told him I loved him. I thought I was doing the sensible thing moving on. It seems like suicide screws up the ones left behind.

WristWatchDesigns.com Answers:

Yes, it certainly does. I am so sorry for the loss of your friend.
I know how hard this is, and the guilt it causes, leading you to think you could have prevented this.
His decision to take his life is not your fault at all--and you had no control over his behavior.
Alcoholism is an awful disease--and it is progressive, and it destroys the person, themself, as well as everyone who cares about them.
I am so touched that you went to see his dad, as well as attending the service, and memorializing him with the rosebush. Many people are in such distress, and when they seriously have decided to suicide, a calmness comes over them and they do say goodbye--so perhaps that what he was truly coming to do--but that was his decision, and you can't take the blame, as hard as it is.
I'm sure he loved you, and he knew that you loved him too. I always feel that when someone passes, they can still know what we are thinking and what is in our heart. I think you can write out a letter to him and let out all your sadness and feelings about what happenned. You can sit by the rosebush and read it to him and have a good cry.
You most likely were doing the sensible thing at the time by moving on. I grew up in an alcoholic family and it has had major effects on everyone in the family.
Best wishes to you.
When alone I ask myself, is it worth it? I ain't perfect
Neither is anybody else, but I think my kids deserve
To be with Daddy out in public without all the interruptions
When the lies and gossip's published I'm the topic of discussion
And I stay in trouble just to show these suckers I ain't lost it
And I'd do it all again that's the funny thing about it
I ain't playing, boy I'm 'bout it
Will I change, boy I doubt it
I done been a lot of things, I ain't never been a coward
Knew the risks and the consequences and I still do it
And then I'm so fresh, them niggas mildew it
Not just a actor by profession, pimp, I live movies
That's why they whisper when they see me, point and stare at me
'Cause they just wanna live through me vicariously
Fashion weekend, Paris week, party like a rockstar
Get blown by a top model 'til she catch lockjaw
Got the dough you get a year, stashed in my sock drawer
Showed you the troubles and the struggles of an outlaw
But for the hustle and the lady on my arm now

does anyone think it is absolutely ridiculous to spend 25,000.00?

on a wrist watch. I don't care how rich you are. I was looking at my new TIME issue on fashion and saw some ridulously priced fashion peices in it. Even if I was Bill Gates' wife I would balk at that price and know that I could buy one for $300.00 or even $60.00 and give what I didn't spend on the $25,000.00 watch to someone or some group that really could use it. I can not believe that some people really pay for these items that are just material possessions- they cant take with them when they leave this earth. What do you think about things like $1,500.00 handbags, $800.00 shoes- seriously. I'd rather have just necessities and know that I could help someone who can't afford 3 meals a day. A pair of jeans from Target can look just as good onyou as a pair that some designer form NY is selling for $2000.00 with a name on it.

The best cellphone in the world that even superman wished he had...isn't it?

So i was wondering when the ultimate cell phone would come out?

Key features that should be:

- Cellphone watch (cellphone and a watch in one)

- touch screen

- 100% water proof

- Shock resistances

- Wind and weather resistances

- Video conference

- multi-tasking

- 250 gigabytes

- Voice translator (Not only by phone to phone, but also real time phone to person translator)

- Built in flash light

- Walkie talkie mode (with text/instant messaging feature as well)

- Voice to text mode

- laser pointer

- Great GPS

- A Long lasting battery life spand thats rechargable

- Built in scanner (most likely under the wrist)

- small multi-fit ear pieces (2; not 1, but 2)

- Digital encyclopedia (kind of like in pokemon, but only for elements, animals, and plants)

- All the basic stuff

- Screw bluetooth! (I used many phones and they worked great without bluetooth, its just a major power hogger that doesn't do much)

- All the stuff above plus at the same time the cellphone is slim (one that isn't all big and bulky) and all at a cheap affordable price.

How kool would it be to have a cellphone with all em' features? Is there anything you think should be added to the list? How would we have manage to live without something like that? If you are a cellphone designer for a company, could you design a phone with all those features?

By the way im 19 years old just in case you thought i was some little kid thinking this all up. From all the reading and researching on cellphones, PDAs, Hand held devices, etc i have done i know for a fact that something like this is possible. I know it wouldn't be cheap nor easy to make and realize this would be far more than just a cellphone. My guesstimate for the most affordable price for such a device would be like $250 - $450. I know that when LG came out with a video conference cellphone watch it was very expensive, so was their projector phone. I didn't mention the projector for a ultimate cell phone features cuz i knew it wouldn't be possible with all the features i already mention and i dont really care about a projector on a cellphone anyways.
I don't play pokemon nor do i read about it anymore i just remembered it from when i was a kid.

Do you like my book so far?

I'm writing a book, please give criticism!

This is the story of how I died… or, almost died. My name is Liberty
Kato. You might think it’s weird how my surname is Japanese but my
first name is Liberty, totally patriotic and American. I was born on the
fourth of July, when my parents went on a leisure trip to the United
States. I think it’s sort of dumb how they went on a vacation out of
Japan when my mom was pregnant with me. As soon as she felt that
kick, my dad rushed her to the hospital in a taxi decorated with red,
white, and blue streamers and paint. My parents had no idea it was
the Fourth of July until our doctor, Dr. Williams, informed them of it.
When I was born, they decided on the name Liberty Belle (get it?
Liberty Bell!) Kato. Mom and Dad were really grateful for having their
baby in America that they packed up all their stuff and moved right
down to the state I was born, Georgia.
“Libby!” my best friend, Taylor, yelled while running down the
hallway of Morris High School. I could hear her, hollering at several
sophomores to get out of her way. Taylor White could be vociferous
at times, but she’s a sweetheart when you get to know her well.
I whipped my head around, getting a mouthful of jet-black
hair. “Tay!” I grinned, pushing the last bit of hair back in place. “So
tell me, was the Biology test a piece of cake?” Tay let out a defeated
blow of air, not much like a sigh.
“Libby, you know I hate Biology. How do you think I did?” Tay
asked, an annoyed tone in her voice. I got an immediate feeling that
Tay wasn’t quite in the mood to discuss her least favorite
subject. “I’m going to be a fashion designer when I grow up. I don’t
think you need a Biology degree to make cute clothes.”
I gave her a thumbs-up. Although Tay wasn’t fond of school,
she designed an amazing outfit. “Don’t get off topic!” I teased. “How
do you think you did?”

She ignored my question and started twirling a strand of her
auburn hair around her finger. Typical Tay.
I had the urge to use my angry/sarcastic tone and say Tay’s full
name, Taylor Grace Ackerman, but she would just grunt or walk
faster. So I ignored her attitude and tried to fast walk with her.
We turned the corner of the oversized Junior’s hallway. All
juniors had lunch fifth period at 1:30 PM, and the bell was about to
ring in a minute. I checked my watch: 1:29. Looking back at Tay, her
head was in her handmade bag. She was obviously trying to find her
lunch.
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING! Tay and I heard a sharp scream from
behind us, and I swear my heart stopped for a second. Tay grabbed
my wrist and squeezed it.
“Ow!” I cry out, and Tay softens her grip.
We looked behind us, and there stood Chloe (or
Claustrophobic Chloe, as everyone calls her). Tay releases her hand
from my wrist awkwardly. “Jesus Christ…” She mumbles under her
breath at Chloe.
Chloe’s binder and overflowing stack of books fell to the ground
as pulled her arms close together and bit her lip. Papers and pencils
go astray. Chloe Effelyn had just moved to Georgia last quarter, and
she wasn’t used to the school’s overly loud bell yet.
“Holy crap, Claustropho- Chloe,” I snapped. “You scared us to
death!”
Chloe gathered her books off the ground quickly and stood up.
Every strand of her short brown hair was perfectly in place, and I’m
guessing her mother picked out her clothes every day. I usually try
not to be mean, but there are so many things wrong with her that it’s
hard not to snap at her once in a while. She dresses like a second
grader, and she’s way too much of a teacher’s pet. Except that’s only
when she’s not like a silent little bird. “Oh, hello Liberty. Hi Taylor.”
Chloe stammered, and seconds later she was out of our sight.
“God, I’m starving!” I said, pulling open the large glass doors to
the cafeteria. Tay stared at the sagging, brown paper bag in her right

hand, and then dumped it in the trashcan nearby.
“My health-crazed mom packed me a tuna-Swiss cheese
sandwich on multi-grain bread.” Tay complained. “That along with a
plastic baggie with last nights’ salmon in it and a Tupperware
container of salad!” I made a face, showing my disgust in her
mother’s taste in lunch choices. “Yeah,” Tay explained. “She’s going
on this weird diet thing that her doctor told her to go on because
she’s getting too fat. It doesn’t mean she has to make me eat her diet
food, too!”

My 3 year old son will be having open heart surgery next month to repair a large VSD (12 mm) ?

I'm terrified and don't know how to explain to my innocent little man the hard road we'll have ahead of us. I've known since he was 3 weeks old, that he would eventually need surgery to close the defect, but I've push it to the back of my mind because my son has endless amounts of energy, I guess I was hopeful the hole would close on its own. Last month his cardiologist said it was time to schedule a date for surgery, my heart broke during that phonecall. Lately I'm just an emotional wreck, trying to hide my tears from my beautiful little boy, I have told him he's having surgery to fix his heart, and we'll be staying at the hospital for awhile, but he doesn't show much interest. I just don't know what to expect, sometimes I'm angry that his surgery wasn't done while he was an infant, I have been reading stories as well as watching video diaries on youtube about child open heart surgeries, and it seems like 95% of the children are under 1 year old. If anyone has a preschool age child that has undergone this surgery, it would be great if you could share your story with me. I'm terrified and don't know what to expect after surgery. I have excepted that my son will be having OHS, and I have absolute faith in the cardiac team that will be taking care of my son, it is afterwards that I am scared about, will he be mad at me? My son is all I have, my job is to protect him, and right now I'm helpless.

Be thankful that you live in country where this kind of procedure can even be performed.

It's only natural that you are an emotional wreck. If you weren't, then there might certainly be reason for concern.

While I have never been in your exact position, I imagine your thoughts are filled with lots of fear, and perhaps even some guilt. Take comfort in knowing that, even though saying the words 'Open Heart Surgery' aloud, seem intimidating and inspire feelings of doubt, this type of procedure is not at all uncommon in the time we live in. You can rest easy knowing that your Son's condition is documented, and the procedure to correct his condition has enjoyed a very steady rate of success. If your Son at all feels any animosity towards you because of the whole ordeal, all you can do is explain to him that what happened was necessary for him to continue living a happy, healthy life - and while you know that it is unpleasant, it is because you love him so much, that it had to happen.
Make sure he understands that this isn't a punishment, as well.

You are doing your job as a Parent, you are not performing the surgery, but you should not consider yourself helpless, either. Someone without options, is helpless. You are in no way, helpless.

Boiler Furnace?

I asked this question once already, but I guess I didn't give enough info, so I am going to try this again. Bare with me because I honestly don't know anything about this, that is why I'm trying to get info on here. I am currently looking at buying a house that is heated with a boiler furnace. There are base board vents through out the house, and multiple thermostats to control the heating in the different "zones" of the house. I'm not sure if this also controls the hot water, or if there is a seperate hot water heater. My understanding is that there are lines that run along the base boards, hot water runs through them and some how heats the house?!?! Like I said, I really don't know, and I am just trying to get a better understanding of this system. ANY info on them would be much appriciated, such as cost to replace them, repair them, or service them. Common problems to watch out for, how they opperate, and if it would be better than a regular furnace.
I know to have it replaced with a regular furnace will cost some major money. And I also know that with this type of system, having central air installed will NEVER happen.

WristWatchDesigns.com Answers:

Your understanding of this system of heat is correct. This type of system is the more modern adaptation of the old style "cast iron heat" radiators you sometimes see in old structures.

Water is heated in a central boiler and is circulated throughout your baseboard 'radiators', providing warmth to the rooms. In a zoned system, there are 'faucets' which control the hot water flows to various sections of the house and its radiators, based upon heat demand sensed by the various thermostats in the house.

The major problems with this source of heat can be in a failed 'zone faucet', or the boiler finally giving out. Neither are known to be regular occurrences, but CAN occur over time.

Why is diesel in CA more expensive than regular gas.?

Diesel is more expensive than gas. It is my understanding that diesel takes less refining than gas and it's basically a gasoline byproduct.
Am I right for choosing to not watch the games of the team I hate the most unless they play a team I like?

I hate the Patriots. Its not because of their success at all honestly. I hate them because they not only only cheated and basically just got a slap on the wrist, but over the years and before spygate I noticed that they get away with so many penalties. I've actually seen refs turn their heads when a player is holding for example. While I'm on topic about the refs remember the new "brady rule"? Ever since brady got his leg hurt players are no longer allowed to hit a QB below the weist or in the head and brady cries about getting "touched" more than anyone else in the league. It doesn't end there. I hate them because they still have the same owner and head coach, which are the main 2 that were involved in the cheating scam. I hate them because brady has such a cocky attitude and I'm glad he spent half the game on the ground in the Super Bowl I refer to as "Giant Upset". I will hate this team as long as they have coach bellicheat on their payroll and as long as they have their current owner and also have disrespect toward any player that is still or has become a part of this dirty organization since all of this crap. Now that I've explained why I hate them, I will now explained what I recently decided was best to do. I decided I'm wasting my time watching their games if I don't like the other team they're playing against. I decided that until they fire bellicheat and someone else becomes owner, I will just not watch their games that they play if the other team isn't a team I like. It wouldn't make any sense at all to watch them just because I want to see them lose. I think it would make more sense for me to just watch the games with teams I like and cheer for them. What do yall think? Any advice on my recent decision?
I might have been unclear in my question. The way I should have worded it is that I think that I shouldn't be watching games because I want a team to lose, but only watch games with the team I don't like if they're playing a team I do like.

Was this woman being serious?

I got a call from my mum today while I was at the city with my friends and she asked to me inquire about the watch that she wanted at this specific jewelry store. I knew what the watch looked like because my mum pointed it out before in the sale catalogue. I was looking at the ladies watches to find the watch that my mum wanted and as usual the saleswoman asked me if I needed any assistance. I replied no thank you and that I was just looking around. But she wouldn't leave me alone, she kept standing and there and asking me if I was purchasing a watch for my boyfriend (*sarcasm*yes because I would totally purchase a lady's watch for my non existent boyfriend). Before I had time to answer my friends thought it'd be amusing to shout 'YES." The saleswoman seemed surprise and she kept asking me if he was rich and handsome. She kept going off rather unprofessionally about my how supposedly lucky my non existent boyfriend was. At this point I was extremely embarrassed and very uncomfortable, but my *wonderful* peers decided to take advantage of the awkward moment and hint that my non existent boyfriend was an unemployed nobody. The saleswoman continued to patronize me saying that he probably had a secret hidden stash of money at home hidden from me and that he was a drug dealer. At this point nobody laughed not even my friends because I just stood there stunned. She walked away and I immediately left the store. I probably over reacted but the woman's intentions were to humiliate me which was a shame because I didn't tell my mum about that specific store and found another one with a better price on the watch. I guess my question is have you had a similar experience to mine?
I don't think she should have asked me such questions particularly when she could sense that the gag wasn't funny anymore especially since my entire face turned red within seconds.

christians, will you be watching the new derren brwon show about faith healers on monday?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/culture/tvandradioblog/2011/apr/19/derren-brown-faith-healers

Derren Brown takes on faith healers in new showThe TV illusionist talks about his latest show, Miracles for Sale, which aims to expose the world of faith healing – will you be watching?

"I guess I've gone from being somebody who wanted to go: 'Look I can do magic tricks – aren't I clever?' to having grown out of that now," says Derren Brown, who Channel 4 audiences have watched apparently predict the lottery numbers and play Russian roulette live on air. His Easter Monday show aims to discredit faith healers – and do so using a member of the public posing as a pastor who can perform miracles. "[It's] about somebody else's journey rather than me looking clever and doing tricks and things."

Those who watched Hero at 30,000 Feet last autumn might question Brown's change of direction; I'm not sure I was ever convinced by the idea, let alone the execution. But his new adventure finds him firing on all cylinders – faith healers shouldn't expect an easy ride. "I realised it wasn't just [like] psychics and mediums," Brown says. "I realised they're genuinely dangerous."

stian and saw faith healers as "worrisome" but not to be taken too seriously – a view he didn't change until he abandoned his faith. "Coming out of Christianity altogether and having a slightly clearer sense in my own mind of what I believed and what I didn't believe … it was much clearer to me: no, no, this is just a scam," he says.

And so, Brown recruited a volunteer, and taught him the tricks of faith healing: how the blind are made to see, the deaf hear, limbs lengthened. And then "Pastor James" and Brown headed for America to see if they could play the healers at their own game. The pair's adventures make for some great television – but Brown also wants to make a serious point: that faith healing exploits those it claims to help.

"You have the despair of all those people who are no better – and it's despair because they're blaming their own selves and their faith for it not working," he says. "And then you have these hordes of people who are following these healers round America; chronically ill people going from gig to gig to gig – and it just never happening, so there's that wake of despair. And then there's the money side of it." The top healers, Brown says, earn more than Hollywood A-listers – and what's more, because it's religion, it's all tax free.

The programme will not be without controversy. Brown stresses that his criticisms are aimed at faith healers, rather than Christians saying: "This is not an attack on God, or faith, or any of those things. It's about a scam, a greedy scam that has nothing to do with God apart from the fact they mention his name a lot." But as he admits, there will doubtless be some Christians who do take offence.

Brown describes it as "a huge challenge" and the toughest thing he had done by far – but, having seen highlights of the show, the results look promising. Will you be watching?

• Derren Brown: Miracles for Sale is on Easter Monday at 9pm on Channel 4
