At first, Meyer and employees concentrated on manufacturing cylinder escapements, and from 1904, when Meyer joined forces with fellow watchmaker Johann Studeli, watch movements. Meyer Studeli (MST) units became a reputable brand before World War I. By 1923, production grew to one million units. In 1940 the company started its own dial production line. In 1945, a representative office opened in New York City. In 1952 Roamer Watches officially changed its name to Roamer Watch Co. SA. In 1955, Roamer patented an original Anfibio watertight watch case, which proved to be a commercial success. In 1972, the company launched its first quartz movement.
