- What do the abbreviated words in a SEIKO wrist watch mean?
A few weeks ago I bought a SEIKO automatic wrist watch from an authorized shop in Malaysia but I forgot to ask them what the abbreviated words meant. Each three-letter word is in front of each date, for example, DOM 15 for today (September 15). Notably, this DOM is red while another for yesterday, that is, SAB, is light blue. I'm wondering if they're the two days in a week, that is, Sunday and Monday. So what are they abbreviated from? And from what language?
A Seems like Italian: lunedì—Monday martedì—Tuesday mercoledì—Wednesday giovedì—Thursday venerdì—Friday sabato—Saturday domenica—Sunday

- How to identify if a Seiko wrist watch is authentic?
When we buy a Seiko watch (or other brand), how can we identify if it is an authentic item? Someone please share the knowledge. Thank you!
A It would depend where you are buying the watch if it's at a store, they should have the papers and certificate of authenticity with the piece. Online is another story. I would recommend your finding an authorized Seiko dealer or going to a site with a very high bizrate--or suchlike--rating. Otherwise, demand to see the watche's papers and serial number! This is a good site if you have any more questions: http://watchnet.com/ they will steer you in the right direction.
